Yes! As an ex-librarian who used to teach information literacy to uni students in Perth, I share your frustrations. I spent every day telling students, "Use databases, not Google. Databases are scholarly and your uni fees are going towards paying for them so you might as well use them. Don't listen to your lecturer who tells you everything is on Google..."
I don't know what your uni is like, but if you can get a librarian to come to one of your tutorials to teach the students some basic info lit, it'd be well worth it. :)
